Schwinn 231 Recumbent Exercise Bike

I love this bike :), March 2, 2009

I bought this bike about 2 weeks ago. Amazon called with a choice of delivery dates, which was very convenient. It was delivered with no problems. My husband put it together for me and was extremely pleased with the easy to follow directions, and that a set of tools with everything needed to assemble it was included in the package.
I still haven't figured out all the programs, but I like that I can do just straight biking, with various levels, or the pre-set programs. I've been doing "riding in the park". So far I would recommend this bike.

SO THE BIKE WORKED GREAT THE 1ST DAY......BUT, February 21, 2009

3RD DAY USING THE BIKE THE BIKE STARTED MAKING A KNOCKING NOISE INSIDE THE PEDAL ASSEMBLY.....EVERY SPIN OF THE PEDAL IT HAS GOTTEN WORSE ....ITS SATURDAY AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW.,..THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AVAILABE...HOW CONVIENIENT.. SO I WILL HOPEFULLY AMEND THIS REVIEW IF THEY COME FIX THIS THING....AND BTW THE PACKAGING WAS HARDLY HOLDING ITSELF TOGETHER WHEN I GOT IT AND THERE WAS A CREASE IN THE SEAT FROM THE PACKAGING SQUISHING IT THAT HASNT GON AWAY...RIGHT NOW IM NOT HAPPY AT ALL

We bought this bike after doing a lot of research on exercise bikes. It has been the answer to my "I'm too tired at night to exercise!" I hop on the bike and off I go. The seat is very comfortable and depending on my energy level at present I am able to do a variety of workout rides. My husband uses the bike as well so it's nice to have the variety in seat positions and workout intensity programs. I am glad we spent the extra money to get the fan and light on the panel. As for assembling it....allow time..........it isn't as fast as you would think!
